From the beginning, Blythe has been searching through a country that doesn’t exist and into a far more bizarre dimension in order to find the stranger she’s fallen in love with – Zayn, a man who may or may not be a terrorist. Now, their paths will cross in the oddest way possible: Trapped in Zayn’s body as a 10-year-old boy, Blythe will relive his life and the things she’ll learn will shock her beyond anything she could’ve ever imagined! If you haven’t tried out this new ongoing Vertigo series, this is the issue to hop on board! 32 pg, FC.

Wilson has discussed the influences on the story of Air, which partly comes from her non-fiction, journalistic work, but may also have been precipitated by one specific incident: “The concept behind Air came from Wilson’s own experiences after being grilled by a flight attendant in Amsterdam for the many visas in her passport.”

Neil Gaiman has compared Air to the works of Salman Rushdie and Thomas Pynchon. The series has garnered positive reviews from writers and critics including Gail Simone, Brian Azzarello, Jason Aaron, Brian Wood, The Onion A.V. Club, and The Wall Street Journal.
