This cover was a blast to draw! enthuses artist Michael Turner on his variant to the standard edition cover to WOLVERINE: ORIGINS #1. “I studied the classic character and drew several layouts only to go back to the very first layout sketched,” explains Turner. “I had also just seen ‘King Kong’ so the primal rage I tried to express with this piece was still on my mind. That’s all the credit I’m taking because Peter’s Steigerwald colors knocked this one over the fence! His visceral textures and color choices blew me away!!!”
