The League of Night and Fog Hardcover
by David Morrell (Author)

Two brilliant operatives known as Saul and Drew are drawn together to solve a baffling mystery: Why have ten elderly men from around the world been kidnapped? As the agents investigate they are pulled into a violent cycle of revenge that stretches back to World War II—and is now forcing sons to pay for their father’s darkest sins.

David Morrell’s international thrillers have no equal. From the Vatican to the Swiss Alps, from Australia to the heartland of America, The League of Night and Fog brings together two generations bound by one chilling legacy.

“Morrell, an absolute master of the thriller, plays by his own rules and leaves you dazzled.”—Dean Koontz

Exciting story! The Night & Fog was a Nazi tactic used to punish people who rebelled. They would kidnap folks and their families would NEVER hear what became of them. It was a very good terror tactic. Now many prominent men are missing with no apparent ties. Their children start searching for their missing fathers. The reader is trailing along with the searchers looking for clues as to who took these men and how are they tied to other missing men. Several stories come together eventually. I enjoyed the ride very much.

I read this trilogy based on another author’s mention of it being the original spy thriller. There are victories and losses throughout, and I wish there was more in the series. The author somewhat explains why he did not continue the series, so it leaves a lot to the imagination. If you like “spy stuff,” these books may be for you! So glad I discovered them – now I want to read First Blood.
