Sometimes the best way to defeat evil is to blow a really large hole into it. Stark designed the War Machine armor with pure offensive power in mind. Unlike many of his suits, the armor was too bulky and rigid to fold away into a suitcase. The War Machine suit makes up for a lack of portability with a more durable shell and a complete armory of Gatling guns, rocket launchers, and other goodies. Stark wore the suit himself when he clashed with the Masters of Silence. But since then, the armor has been passed onto his friend and occasional bodyguard, Jim Rhodes. Though the two don’t always see eye-to-eye, Iron Man and War Machine are a tag-team combo that no supervillain should ever want to cross.
