The TARDIS is the ticket to adventure throughout time and space for that Galligreyan good guy (here, in his third incarnation, portrayed by Jon Pertwee). And where he goes, he meets strange creatures like this Sea Devil (from “The Sea Devils”). He is, of course Doctor Who. Pertwee’s Doctor was more action-oriented than his predecessors, and the producers allowed Pertwee to indulge his love of riding various vehicles during his tenure, including motorcycles, hovercraft, the so-called “Whomobile” and the Doctor’s vintage roadster, “Bessie”. The Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and his assistant Jo Grant visit the Doctor’s nemesis the Master in his island prison and encounter the Sea Devils, the aquatic cousins of the Silurians. Colonel Trenchard, tells them that some ships have been mysteriously disappearing. The Doctor cannot resist investigating and he and Jo are soon attacked, while examining a Sea Fort, by an underwater Silurian. This man-sized bipedal lizard is called a ‘Sea Devil’ by a crewmember who’s been driven half mad.
