Hickman’s Secret Warriors series comes to a dramatic close with the final confrontation between the members of the “wheel”: the collection of spies and soldiers from Hydra, SHIELD, and Leviathan who control the potential fate of the world. With Leviathan and Hydra’s war decimating both sides and the Howling Commandos likewise devastated, the final conflict will come down to three men: Nick Fury, Baron Strucker, and the Kraken (the mysterious man of Hydra who claims to help people become who they were meant to become). In this final volume we learn how the “wheel” came to be and the fate of the new SHIELD once Nick Fury’s war is over. All in all, a fantastic series that is highly underrated and should be read by more people. If you have any interest in spy thrillers or the SHIELD aspect of the Marvel universe this series was tailor made for you.

This book is in near mint condition and is a first printing! Hickman has proved once again he is one of the best things going over at Marvel. This series really captured the wonderfully interesting concept of how would the government deal with a supernatural threat through use of black ops and information dealing. The team he put together was interesting and the conceot was cool. I did enjoy how he wrapped it up. This was one of the best portrayals of Nick fury I have seen.
